Lagos University Teaching Hospital, widely known as LUTH, is a federal tertiary hospital on Ishaga Road in Idi-Araba, Surulere, Lagos. It is the teaching hospital of the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos and one of Nigeria's best-known referral centres. LUTH provides specialist care across many clinical departments, including internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, oncology and radiotherapy, cardiology, nephrology and dialysis, ophthalmology, dental services, psychiatry and accident and emergency care. It runs weekly specialist clinics on set days, and its patient guide explains how to register, get referrals and find each clinic. As a teaching hospital it trains medical students, resident doctors, nurses and allied health workers through its schools, and it carries out clinical research. Patients and visitors can reach the hospital by phone or email, while complaints go to its SERVICOM unit.
