Ladoke Akintola University of Technology – University in Ogbomoso

Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, popularly called LAUTECH, is a public university of technology in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. It was founded in 1990 and named after Chief Samuel Ladoke Akintola, a former premier of the Western Region. Its main campus is on the Ogbomoso-Ilorin Road, and its College of Health Sciences is closely linked to teaching hospitals in Ogbomoso and Osogbo. LAUTECH is known for engineering and technology, pure and applied sciences, agricultural sciences, environmental sciences, management sciences, basic medical sciences, medicine and nursing. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as distance learning programmes. Admission to first degrees is through JAMB and the university's screening process.
