Description
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is the government agency that manages and develops the country's commercial airports, with its headquarters at Murtala Muhammed Airport in Ikeja, Lagos. Created in 1996 through the merger of earlier airport bodies, FAAN runs major gateways including Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Port Harcourt International Airport and many domestic airports across Nigeria. The authority provides terminal facilities, aviation security, fire and rescue services, car parks, and passenger and cargo handling infrastructure, and it works with airlines, ground handlers and concessionaires on airport services. FAAN also handles customer service complaints through its Servicom unit and publishes travel advisories and airport updates. Travellers and aviation businesses can reach the authority by phone or its contact email.
