Description

The Port Autonome de San Pedro (PASP) is Côte d'Ivoire's second-largest seaport, located in the city of San Pedro in the south-west of the country, with a liaison office in Cocody, Abidjan. Opened in 1971 to open up the south-west region, it has become one of the world's leading cocoa export ports, while also handling timber, rubber, palm oil, cashew, fertiliser, clinker and containers. In recent years the port has added new container and multipurpose terminals and a mining terminal for nickel and manganese ore, strengthening its role as a gateway for the hinterland and neighbouring countries. The port authority manages port infrastructure, pilotage, security and land concessions, and promotes an industrial zone for agri-processing businesses. Shipping lines, exporters and logistics companies can reach the head office in San Pedro or the Abidjan office by phone or general email.
