University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies – University in Kigali

The University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies (UTB) is a private university in Kigali, Rwanda. It was founded in 2006 as the Rwanda Tourism University College and later expanded into a full university, reflecting Rwanda's growing tourism, hospitality and services economy. UTB offers certificates, diplomas, bachelor's and master's degrees in hospitality management, tourism and travel management, events management, information technology, business information technology, accounting, finance, marketing, procurement and logistics, and economics. The university emphasises practical, industry-linked learning through training restaurants, internships and partnerships with hotels, tour operators and businesses. Its main campus is in Kigali, and it has also operated a campus in Rubavu on the shores of Lake Kivu. UTB attracts students from Rwanda and neighbouring countries.
