Tanzania Ports Authority (TPA) is the government agency that develops, manages and operates Tanzania's sea and lake ports. Its head office is Bandari Tower and One Stop Centre on Sokoine Drive in Ilala, Dar es Salaam, next to the country's main port. Besides Dar es Salaam, TPA oversees the ports of Tanga and Mtwara on the Indian Ocean, plus smaller ports and lake ports on Lake Victoria, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Nyasa.
