Description

Blaise Diagne International Airport, known as AIBD, is Senegal's main international airport, located at Diass, about 45 kilometres east of central Dakar. It opened in December 2017, replacing Léopold Sédar Senghor Airport for commercial flights, and is named after Blaise Diagne, the first black African elected to the French parliament. The airport has a modern passenger terminal, a long runway able to handle the largest aircraft, cargo facilities and a hotel. It is the hub of Air Sénégal and is served by many African, European and Middle Eastern airlines, with flights across West Africa and to Europe and the Americas. The Dakar regional express train and the toll motorway link the airport with the city. Travellers can find flight information, parking, lounges, shops and restaurants. For enquiries, the airport operator can be contacted by phone or email.
