Description

Fawry is Egypt's largest electronic payments network, founded in 2008 and headquartered in the Smart Village business park on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road in Giza. Listed on the Egyptian Exchange, it lets millions of people pay electricity, water, gas, phone and internet bills, buy mobile top-ups, pay for online shopping and settle government fees at hundreds of thousands of retail points, through its app and via banks. Merchants use Fawry to accept card, wallet and cash payments online and in store, while businesses use its services for collections, disbursements and point-of-sale terminals. The company also offers microfinance, consumer lending and banking services through its subsidiaries, and its Fawry Plus branches give customers access to a wider range of services. Customers can call the Fawry call centre for help with payments, while businesses can contact the head office by phone.
