Description
Bakubung Bush Lodge is a safari lodge on the southern edge of Pilanesberg National Park in South Africa's North West province, about two hours' drive from Johannesburg and close to Sun City. Run by Legacy Hotels and Resorts, it is set in the African wilderness, with rooms and chalets that offer comfort and stunning views. Bakubung means 'people of the hippo' in Setswana, and the lodge overlooks a waterhole where hippos and other animals are often seen. Pilanesberg is home to the Big Five, and guests can join guided game drives, walks and hot-air balloon flights. The lodge has a swimming pool, Marula Grill with a la carte and speciality buffet dining, and conference rooms such as the Kubunyana Room for meetings and events. It is a popular malaria-free safari destination for families and corporate groups. Reservations can be made by phone or by email.
