Busitema University – University in Tororo

Busitema University is a public university in eastern Uganda, with its main administration on the Jinja–Malaba Road in Tororo District, close to the Kenyan border. Established in 2007 and built on the foundations of earlier agricultural and technical colleges, it focuses on science, technology, engineering, agriculture and health, in line with Uganda's development needs. The university runs several campuses in the region, including Busitema, Nagongera, Arapai, Namasagali, Pallisa and Mbale, each hosting different faculties. Its programmes cover engineering and technology, agriculture and animal sciences, natural resources and environmental sciences, science education, health sciences including medicine at the Mbale campus, and management and entrepreneurship.
