Description

The Caisse Nationale de Prévoyance Sociale (CNPS) is Côte d'Ivoire's national social security institution for private-sector workers, with its head office on Avenue Lamblin in the Plateau district of Abidjan. It manages the country's main social protection schemes, including retirement pensions, family and maternity benefits, and insurance against workplace accidents and occupational diseases. Employers register their staff with the CNPS and pay contributions, while workers and pensioners use its services to claim benefits, update their records and submit annual life certificates. The CNPS also runs a voluntary scheme for self-employed and independent workers, a network of regional offices across the country, and online services for declarations and payments. It invests in health and social facilities and promotes workplace risk prevention. Employers, workers and retirees can reach the head office by phone from Monday to Friday or through its general email.
