Description
Emerson Spice is an award-winning boutique hotel in the very heart of Stone Town, Zanzibar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is set in a lovingly restored 19th-century Swahili mansion and has twelve uniquely decorated rooms, each with its own character, high ceilings, antique furniture and stained-glass windows. The hotel is famous for its rooftop Tea House restaurant, which serves Swahili-inspired seafood tasting menus with sweeping views over the rooftops, minarets and the sea, and for its Secret Garden Restaurant. Guests can also enjoy cocktails and mocktails at the bar and lounge. From the hotel it is a short walk to the Old Fort, the House of Wonders, Forodhani Gardens, Darajani Market and the island's spice and cultural tours. Emerson Spice is about 8 kilometres, or 15 to 20 minutes' drive, from Abeid Amani Karume International Airport. Reservations can be made by phone or by email to the hotel.
