Gift of the Givers Foundation – Non-Profit in Johannesburg

Gift of the Givers Foundation is a South African humanitarian organisation and the largest disaster-response NGO founded in Africa. It is registered as NPO 032-031 and PBO 930018993. The foundation sends rescue teams, medical staff and relief supplies to floods, droughts, earthquakes and conflict zones, and it has delivered aid worth billions of rand in dozens of countries. Its work goes beyond emergencies: it hands out food parcels, runs water trucks and drills boreholes, supports clinics and gives out wheelchairs, awards university bursaries and distributes school stationery packs. Its aid is non-political and unconditional, regardless of race, religion or nationality. Besides its Johannesburg office in Robertville, it has offices in Pietermaritzburg, Durban, Lenasia, Cape Town and East London, plus field offices across Africa and the Middle East. Donors and volunteers can reach the national call centre on its toll-free number.
