Description

Maasai Mara University is a public university in Narok town, Narok County, in south-western Kenya, close to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. It began as Narok University College, a constituent college of Moi University, and received its full charter in 2013. The university offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes through schools covering tourism, hospitality and natural resource management, education, business and economics, science and information sciences, arts and social sciences, and pure and applied sciences. Its location makes it a natural centre for studies in wildlife management, ecotourism, environmental conservation and pastoral community development. The campus provides lecture halls, laboratories, a library, hostels and sports facilities. Government-sponsored students join through KUCCPS, while self-sponsored and postgraduate students apply directly. Prospective students, researchers and partners can contact the university by phone or email for admissions and general enquiries.
