Description
Mbuzi Mawe Serena Camp is an elegant and exclusive tented camp in the heart of Tanzania's Serengeti National Park, run by Serena Hotels. It is guarded by three-million-year-old granite towers, or kopjes, and named after the klipspringer, the small rock antelope known locally as mbuzi mawe, which lives among them. The camp offers front-row access to the Great Migration as the herds move through the central and northern Serengeti. All tents feature two queen beds and free Wi-Fi, along with private verandas facing the plains. Guests can enjoy the bar and lounge, the dining tent, bonfire evenings and Maisha Spa treatments in a dedicated treatment tent. Game drives in the Serengeti offer excellent sightings of lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants and large herds of plains game, and sundowners on the plains are a highlight. The camp can be reached by road or by light aircraft. Rates start from around USD 601. Reservations can be made by phone or email.
