Ashesi University – University in Berekuso

Ashesi University is a private, not-for-profit university in Berekuso, in Ghana's Eastern Region, on a hillside campus about 30 minutes from Accra. Founded in 2002 by Patrick Awuah, it has become one of Africa's most respected universities, known for its liberal arts core curriculum, ethics and honour code, and focus on leadership and entrepreneurship. Undergraduates can study business administration, computer science, management information systems, economics, law and engineering, including computer, electrical, mechanical and mechatronic engineering, and the university also offers graduate programmes. Ashesi attracts students from across Africa and runs strong scholarship and financial aid programmes.
