Description

Nelson Mandela University is a comprehensive public university based in Gqeberha, formerly Port Elizabeth, on South Africa's Eastern Cape coast. It was formed in 2005 through the merger of the University of Port Elizabeth, the Port Elizabeth Technikon and the local Vista University campus, and in 2017 it became the only university in the world to carry Nelson Mandela's name. The university offers diplomas, degrees and postgraduate qualifications in fields such as business and economics, engineering and technology, education, health sciences, law, humanities and science, and it runs South Africa's newest medical school. Its campuses include several sites in Gqeberha, including the Ocean Sciences campus, plus a campus in George focused on natural resources and forestry. Students and visitors can reach the main switchboard or general enquiries email for admissions, fees and course information.
