Dakar Dem Dikk is Senegal's state-owned public transport company, providing bus services in and around Dakar and on intercity routes across the country. Its head office and main depot are at Km 4.5 on Avenue Cheikh Anta Diop in Dakar. Created in 2000, the company's name means going back and forth in Wolof, and its blue buses are a familiar sight on the capital's main roads, linking the city centre with suburbs such as Pikine, Guédiawaye, Rufisque and Keur Massar. Dakar Dem Dikk also runs an express shuttle to Blaise Diagne International Airport, interurban coaches to regional cities and cross-border services, as well as school and private hire transport.
