Description

Universidade Agostinho Neto is Angola's oldest and largest public university, named after the country's first president, António Agostinho Neto. Its origins go back to the General University Studies of Angola created in 1962, and it took its current name in 1985. The university's main campus is at Camama, in the south of Luanda, with faculties and schools across the city. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in fields such as medicine, law, economics, engineering, sciences, social sciences, humanities and the arts, and it trains many of Angola's doctors, engineers, lawyers and teachers. Admission is through entrance exams held each year, and the university publishes exam results and statistics online. UAN also carries out research and works with universities in Portugal, Brazil and other countries. Applicants and partners can contact the university through its published phone numbers or social media.
